If the tune-up turns up a separate repair need or your setup calls for anything beyond the standard service, like reprogramming smart or app-based controls, your Pro will go over next steps and any additional costs with you.

Routine garage door maintenance service, like an annual tune-up, is available as a separate member benefit to help prevent those breakdowns in the first place.

AHS offers coverage for garage door openers, but a routine garage door tune-up is a maintenance service offered as a benefit to members.

An AHS garage door tune-up includes a full safety inspection of one or two garage door openers, along with adjustments to keep everything running smoothly. Your Pro will check the door's safety sensors and springs, clean and lubricate the rollers and hinges, and clean and tighten electrical connections. The service also includes reprogramming for up to two standard garage remotes. If the inspection reveals a separate repair need that is a covered breakdown, you may opt into creating a service request in accordance with the terms of your home warranty plan - including required payment of your service fee.
